The Georgia Peach Shrub Rose – 1 Gallon Pot

Bought this for Mother’s Day about 10-15 days before and it arrived safe and soundly packed just in time to plant it for Mother’s Day! It’s been about 2 weeks since then and we’ve already had 2 blooms and they smell heavenly.—————————-We are so glad yall are pleased! Beth | WBG

Wilson Bros continually deliver on nice healthy plants. As usual, this rose was packed well, not a single broken branch. Much to my surprise, this plant was fuller and bigger than I expected with several buds in place. 3 days later, those buds are now blooming and these really are very pretty roses, and the color is spectacular. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the roses themselves aren’t as large as the description stated they were. At most, they were an inch across fully bloomed. The blooms themselves were marginally just a little bigger than miniature tea roses. Regardless, it’s a very pretty rose to add to your collection. Just got my Georgia Peach Rose, 1 gallon, although the plant is bigger than the description, but that’s a great thing! Packaged beautifully with minimal breakage, with buds ready to bloom. Plant is very well formed, healthy, not crooked, lopsided or odd shaped. Repotted this lil guy and topped with some used coffee grounds. Looking forward to spectacular blooms! The rose came nicely packaged and very healthy. I planted it on June 21 and it took off. The first rose appeared on July 20 and there are three other buds. Arrived quickly, well packaged, moist and in good shape. I now see new growth on it. This rose is exceptionally beautiful – lovely shape, lustrous green leaves, and it just blooms and blooms. I do deadhead. In a really rainy summer, we did spray it for black spot – but it wasn’t totally necessary. The blooms are a lovely peachy-pink, and when the bush is covered, it’s simply gorgeous. About as low maintenance as you can get, I highly recommend it. We have the original plant growing in our gardens and it’s looking and performing as good in 2017 as it has from the beginning. We’ve yet to see any black spot on ours, but my guess is that it would be a temporary thing due to cloudy weather. In 2013 we had the rainiest summer on record in Georgia and the area it was in stayed saturated for a couple months. It wasn’t looking good at all by fall. Had very few leaves and several main branches turned black. We pruned and transplanted it and by the next spring it flushed back out to it’s normal size. Has been doing great ever since. I just love these roses! I bought two of them 4 years ago for a commemorative garden for my cousin. They arrived in a robust and healthy state. They flower from Early Spring to first frost. I live in Texas and the summer is really hot. These babies still put out blooms, despite the heat. They are now 4 ft tall and beautiful. One of my best purchases. I feed them once every two years, but they are well mulched. ———- WBG RESPONSE: Hi Desiree – I couldn’t agree with you more. I still have the original Georgia Peach Rose growing in my gardens. It’s been there since it was discovered in 2010. I’ve transplanted it three times and it’s still healthy as ever. It’s May 15 and I just took some pictures of the blooms a few days ago. It’s the second round of blooms so far this year. This is one tough but beautiful rose. Absolutely no disease and bugs don’t seem to like it. Planted my Georgia Peach Rose last fall. With the extra cold tough winter, I was afraid if it would survive. It has leafed out beautifully and already has buds on it! I’m extremely happy with it.
